Frequently Asked Questions

If you’ve never seen a naturopath before, don’t worry, your first appointment is simply a conversation about you and your health.
Initial consultations are around 60 minutes and are much more in-depth than a standard medical appointment. I’ll ask lots of questions to help me understand the full picture of your health, including:
Your current health concerns and symptoms
Your past health history and family history
Any medications and supplements you’re currently taking
Your diet, lifestyle, stress levels and sleep
Your goals and what you’d like support with
This helps me look for underlying factors that may be contributing to how you’re feeling, rather than just focusing on one symptom.
By the end of the session, you’ll feel heard, supported, and clearer on the next steps. From there, I’ll create a personalised plan tailored to your needs, which may include nutrition, herbal medicine, lifestyle recommendations and functional testing if appropriate.
There’s no judgement and no “perfect” answers, just an open, supportive space to talk about your health.

I support a wide range of health concerns, with a focus on identifying and addressing underlying drivers of imbalance. Areas I commonly work with include:
Nervous system support – anxiety, poor sleep, low mood, chronic stress and burnout
Gut health – digestive symptoms, food sensitivities and microbiome support
Immune health – frequent infections, colds, flus.
Skin health – acne, rosacea, eczema and psoriasis
Female reproductive health – heavy or painful periods, endometriosis, PCOS, PMDD and menopause
If your concern isn’t listed here, you’re still welcome to reach out as many health conditions overlap, and care is always personalised. I also love a challenge and researching new conditions/treatment is my jam!

Yes! Gaining a deeper understanding of what’s happening in your body can be a powerful part of your healing journey. I offer a range of functional tests that help look beyond symptoms and provide insight into underlying imbalances.
Depending on your needs, testing may explore areas such as hormones, stress response, digestion, nutrient levels and the microbiome. This can include saliva, urine, blood, stool, swab or hair testing.
All testing is carefully selected and personalised. We only test what’s relevant to you. The goal is to identify possible root causes of your symptoms and use that information to guide a targeted, meaningful treatment plan.

Yes! Naturopathy is now recognised again by private health funds. We’re currently waiting for the final administrative steps to be completed, after which you’ll be able to claim part of your consultation cost directly with your insurer.

At present, all appointments are offered via Telehealth (secure video call), which allows you to receive the same level of care from the comfort of your own home.
I’m currently working towards offering in-person consultations to those in Bundaberg, and hope to have these available very soon. Updates will be shared as soon as this option becomes available.
